Members have the opportunity to ideate, plan, and execute a variety of exciting events throughout the year in support of our mission of inclusivity and empowerment.

Aspiring Businesswomen Summit

The culmination of the work of BWIB’s Events Committee is organizing and executing the Aspiring Businesswomen Summit, which takes place in the Fall and began under 2022-23 BWIB President Sara Lehman.

In the words of Sara Lehman, UCLA ‘24:

The summit is an all-day professional development experience geared towards woman-identifying high school students from the Los Angeles area. It aims to to provide powerful educational lectures, practical college and career-focused workshops, and stimulate networking activities. The Events Committee and BWIB organizes the summit with the intention of encouraging young participants to think critically about their place in higher education and the business world, and to provide navigational tools to help attendees feel more confident and capable as they progress through their academic and professional journeys.

Planning the 2025 Summit

The Events Committee is planning the annual Aspiring Businesswoman Summit to be held Fall Quarter of 2024.


This is a 2 quarter long project. It is an amazing opportunity to develop relevant coordination and networking skills while working alongside a group of motivated women. We are looking for members interested in event planning to join us in creating this incredible experience!
